Poker Stars Poker Review

The competition on this site is somewhat variable.  Since Poker Stars is the largest site you would expect it to be full of terrible players and though there are plenty of those it also attracts some of the best players because of many of nice features to be mentioned.  The high stakes game are very tough and the lowest stakes are fairly tough.  The site offers great software and they also have the best play money tables around with there sit and go's and tournaments.  The play money games here can get you ready for the real thing.  In fact this is where I turned 1 million play chips into real money.  I don't think this happens anymore but I am not certain.  If you want to play freerolls all of the time this probably not the place.

The rewards at Poker Stars are extremely good.  If you are a beginning player you could perhaps get more poker books here off of rewards than anywhere else.  The rewards program has healthy benefits for reaching the top tiers.  I will caution that the rewards are so nice that some players try and play above their bankroll in order to make the next tier...this is not advised.

The software is the best though the cards come out a little slower here then on other sites. With over 3,000 games logged on this site alone I have only had one experience where I couldn't finish a game due to site issues and the site handled it very quick and well.  You can play multiple tables at once very easily at Poker Stars. 

Customer service is very good for such a big site. I have seen customer service help facilitate a deal on a 4 dollar 180 person tournament within less than 5 minutes.  They are not always quick to respond to complaints but for things like making a deal they are amazing.

Probably the best features are the games.  They offer the largest variety of tournaments and games.  You can find a tournament, sit and go or ring game for pretty much any game you like and example would be a 5 card draw sit and go.  There are enough players on that if this is the game you want to play you can sit down and get started within no time.

Overall Poker stars offers some of the best games out there and though they don't have the huge bonuses they make up for it in many ways.  They don't need to offer bonuses because they do everything else right.
